Research On Service Scheme Of Door To Door Logistics Of CRE

To improve the quality and efficiency of railway development, the railway system is implementing the business diversification strategy vigorously, making the core businesses of passenger and freight transport more competitive and strong, and extending the service chain of passenger and freight transport. The establishment of China Railway Corporation lays the basis for improving railway’s market competitiveness and promoting the development of railway. Hu Yadong, the former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Railways proposed that "the professional transportation corporations must seize the opportunity to find the orientation of each company, and accelerate the development to be the forerunner and demonstration enterprises of railway logistics". With the rapid economic and social development in China and the increasing demand for express shipment, typical logistics companies at home and abroad have made lots of useful attempts to develop the products of express shipment. The ability of providing door to door logistics service has become a symbolic measurement of the comprehensive development level. The products of express shipment provided by CRE, such as express train for luggage and mails and express train for luggage and parcels, have brought good economic benefits and social benefits and established the solid basis for capturing the market of express shipment. With the rise of express industry, the products of express shipment provided by CRE do not have a big advantage over its competitors and the market share of these products is decreasing. And only offering transport services from station to station or from door to door abandons the management ideas of modern logistics. Therefore, research on logistics services from door to door has a practical and strategic significance for CRE to expand the market of express shipment and enhance the core competitiveness. The following aspects are the main research and discussion of this paper.(1) Taking a brief overview of the research and development status of logistics industry and door-to-door transport services at home and abroad, this paper analyze the market demand for door-to-door logistics services and competition and cooperation relationship between CRE and other companies, develop a clear market orientation towards the door-to-door logistics services.(2) This paper analyze the connotation and basic principle of the door-to-door logistics services scheme provided by CRE from the market demand and supply of resources, and establish the general framework for offering the door-to-door logistics services.(3) The main service functions of door-to-door logistics services of CRE is designed according to market demand, and the products of door-to-door transport services making the time and costs to be optimal is designed by considering the four factors, namely transport distance, transport mode, transport time and transport costs. And the paper analyzes the transport scheme of three transport routes which are the route from Beijing to Jinan, Beijing to Shanghai and Beijing to Guangzhou on the premise of different demand for time and costs.(4) According to the concept of modern logistics, the logistics service products including storage, processing, distribution, packaging, information and so on are designed. By learning from the transport processes of typical express companies, a logistics operations process with a high degree of integration is designed, and some specific progresses of storage and processing given and so on are provided.(5) This paper seeks to implement the plan of improving the door-to-door logistics services of CRE, which includes the organization structure, logistics resources and safeguard measures, etc.
