With the improvement of people’s living standard, cars have entered the ordinary families. The in-vehicle network is the biggest product of this era, which is one of the key factors of the continual progress of car technology. As early as the80s, the foreign countries were devoted to the research and development of in-vehicle network. CAN was put forward under this condition, aiming at solving the more and more complex problem in the data exchange in future cars.There are a total of four main lines in the in-vehicle network. CAN main line belongs to B type in the in-vehicle network. The use of CAN into the in-vehicle network in domestic cars by applying the regulations of CAN main line and CAN is the work of this paper. Besides, CAN is applied into the drive of rearview mirrors to construct the control system of the rearview mirrors based on CAN. The developed CAN node is mainly used in the field device to drive the electric rearview mirrors and realize the network control of the position of the lens.The control system of the rearview mirrors mainly includes the right rearview mirrors, left drive nodes of the rearview mirrors and one central control module, totaling to three nodes. In the research, a set of control device is made.CAN is used to construct a set of control system of the rearview mirrors, realizing the communication functions of CAN and provide assistance and development for the subsequent work which is divided into three gradual processes, respectively "communication control","system realization" and "node development"...
