AT traction power supply system provides power for electrified railway. Chinese high-speed, heavy rail commonly adopts AT power supply mode, because traction network is a huge power supply device placed in nature without backup, especially AT traction network whose structure is complex and working condition is so bad that the vast majority of failures of AT traction power supply system occur at AT traction network. Its reliability has always been a focus issue for rail operation department.Because AT traction network’s reliability is low, simply to improve the reliability of its own is very difficult and to require a lot of economic investment, aiming at AT power supply system, this paper will propose an AT traction network transformation program, combined with the trend analysis of the traction network status monitoring and control system, achieve the supply segmentation of traction power supply network to narrow down the scope of fault zone, to ensure reliability of power supply in non-fault zone. Based on Traction network reliability evaluation, the paper will make comparative analysis between AT traction network’s existing program and rehabilitation program to verify the reliability advantage of rehabilitation program.AT supply section is the smallest unit of research on network AT traction power supply network transformation program. The paper will analyze basic strategy of AT traction power supply network maintenance plan based on AT supply section and build traction conduct regular preventive maintenance optimization model. The model is constrained by traction network’s reliability, aiming at minimum maintenance costs. Based on Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, the paper will establish regular preventive maintenance of traction network simulation model, with the application of genetic algorithm toolbox (Genetic Algorithm Toolbox), using Simulink/Stateflow model,set the maintenance parameters to make optimize calculations and get the best regular preventive maintenance strategy.Optimized maintenance strategy ensures AT traction network operate in an ideal state. Based on optimized maintenance strategy, the paper will study economy of AT traction network transformation program of the economy. In the transformation program, single-pole circuit breakers are installed in the feeder wires of AT substation and section post and the synchronization and control devices are installed in traction substation, AT substation and section post. The paper will study rehabilitation program’s investment, analyze the average annual operating income and maintenance expenses of rehabilitation program within the specified time and analyze the project economy of rehabilitation program evaluated by net present value and dynamic investment pay-back period.Through research on reliability and economy of the AT traction network transformation program reliability and economic transformation program research, rehabilitation program’s the reliability advantages are verified and better economic benefits can be obtained in engineering applications, so as to provide a theoretical basis for promoting the use of rehabilitation program.
