In the world,non-renewable energy that includes oil、coal and so on is becomeing scarce,renewable energy is becomeing the research object, wind power and solar energy etc belongs to renewable energy,wind power is one of the most mature industrialization conditions.Because the wind is not only the fastest growing clean energy in the renewable energy,but it has good economic benefit,with the prospect of large-scale development and commercial development.Increasing the use of wind powe will play an important role to increase energy supply, adjust the energy structure, alleviate the pollution of the environment, promote the economic development.Wind turbine generator system is the most important equipment in the process of wind power generation, it is a key part of makeing the wind energy into electricity.Blade that determines the conversion efficiency of the wind turbine is one of the most important part in wind turbine.Blade has complex aerodynamic shape,the torsional angle and chord length of the blade should be optimized in order to make its maximum aerodynamic performance.A model for optimization design of wind turbine blades is presented,the method of globe optimization is used,optimization serch is carried out by using genetic algorithm with a goal of the annual energy output and optimization variable of chord length and torsin angle in every section of the wind turbine blades.Taking the wind turbine of1.5MW as a example,wind turbine blades is designed by using developed program of the optimization design in MATLAB,and compared with the designed with Glauert method.The method is validity in wind turbine blade design through compareing the power of the design blade with the power of the given blade and compareing the torsion angle and chord length of the design blade with the torsion angle and chord length of the design with the Glauert method.
