Along with increase of ocean activities, the quantity and tonnage of sunken ships increase accordingly. The self oscillation pulsed abrasive jet cutting equipment applying to the cutting of large-tonnage wreck surface lifting hole in deep-sea is the core equipment in the field of salvage. Application prospect is widespread. Related research represents the new direction of the development of the self oscillation pulsed abrasive jet cutting technology. It’s of great significance for the improvement of marine high-tech equipment level of our country.In this paper, through to the domestic and foreign scholars in the water jet on the summary of research results, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and experimental research, we study the self oscillation pulsed abrasive water jet. According to the derivation of the pulsed jet water hammer pressure calculation, the result proves that pulsed jet impact pressure is greater than the continuous jet. The self exciting pulse frequency of pulse jet derived from fluid grid theory has a very important significance on the design of self oscillation pulsed jet nozzle. Based on analyzing the self oscillation pulsed abrasive water jet’s principle of producing, we make use of numerical simulation software to obtain a good self oscillation pulsed jet nozzle size structure parameters which have a good effect of self-excited vibration. According to these results and parameters, we design and produce the self oscillation pulsed water jet nozzle. By investigating the impact pressure feature, the impact pressure features under different pressure and range of abrasive water jet are revealed. According to the affect of some parameters of the cutting performance of self oscillation pulsed abrasive water jet, we do some cutting test and find the relationship between the cutting depth and range of abrasive water jet. As a result, we put forward some improvement scheme of self-excited vibration pulse nozzle. Based on the above research, we independently design a set of self oscillation pulsed processing abrasive water jet cutting equipment. The research results of underwater cutting provides a new technology and equipment and has important theoretical and practical significance for rescue and salvage application areas.
