The development of china’s road construction promote the development of thepaver. Chinese manufacturers are currently in the beginning stages of independentdevelopment and innovation. For paver, crawler hydrostatic transmission controltechnology is a key technology,in order to further improve the overall performance of the Crawler travel, we studiedthe travel drive hydraulic system. Especially in the characteristics, efficiency andthe control. In this paper, using AMEsim software to establish asimulation model of the hydraulic system.Test data were fitted by a formula and thenimported to models. greatly improving the accuracy of simulation, Making thesimulation more realistic results. Pavers are low operating machinery, Walking speedis lower during paving operations. For reasons of Hydraulic efficiency, The motorinside of the track easy to crawl in low walking speed situation by Conventionalsteering control strategy. Making the machine a bad steering characteristics. Thearitcal, Based on the walking pump and walking motor efficiency analysis, then tested.Finally, Improve the steering stability By setting the value of the minimum speed andsteering gear control current curve,Through the study of starting-up and steering condition, Improved the controlprocedures t, Make paver get a better driving characteristics.
