| Truck-mounted concrete pump is a kind of construction machinery which combines thefunctions of concrete delivery and placing process. It enables the ready-mixed concrete to beconveyed continuously and uniformly to the mould, effectively avoiding concrete segregationand ensuring the quality, for which it has now become an indispensable engineering machine inmodern construction. The development of domestic truck-mounted concrete pump started at alater time, not until the Reform and Opening did our country introduce the first truck-mountedconcrete pump from Japan, after that the design and manufacturing gradually appear. In recentyears, especially, in the leadership of such giants as Zoomlion and Sany, the design andmanufacturing technologies in this sector have made great advance, the market share ofdomestic products accounting for more than90percent. Presently the sector develops in thetrend of long boom, large output and intelligence, which has demanded a higher requirement onvehicle stability.The vehicle stability is a key safety index which involves the whole layout, span andoutrigger design. With the urban development, the outrigger is most often unable to fully opendue to the limited worksite, thus the function of random support (the vehicle stability should becalculated when the boom and outrigger open at any places) is needed. When working, theoutrigger suffers the whole load and overturning bent torque, the stress against outrigger directlyaffects the vehicle safety, therefore, it has great significance to calculate the vehicle stability andconduct stress analysis. This paper firstly introduces some basic definitions and researchbackground about stability, and then the common practices of calculating the outriggercounterforce are introduced, after that the cause-effect of stability theory is deduced in details,also, the circumstances of maximum outrigger counterforce are testified and the calculationmethod is given. Finally in the case of one model of truck-mounted concrete pump, the analysismethods and steps of outrigger stress are presented, and through the test, the correctness ofstability theory and outrigger stress analytical methods is testified.
