Face began from2009in China’s coal imports and exports decreased, and the bulk carrier is more and more tense situation, the temptation of container freight rate is gradually reduced, the government, the port of loading and unloading operation of environmental impact is put forward higher request, have tried to put some flexible port container transport of coal, and some companies also began to try to bulk container transport of coal, many researchers also for dry bulk containerization expressed interest in this trend, many scholars have made a related to soybean, coke and other products of the analysis, comparison and research, but still does not have scale coal containerization, because in the concept, cost and casing pollution, batch, loading and unloading process are considered, and once choose container transport, port on the loading and unloading process, how to discharge as a series of problems of study. So in order to expand the field of dry bulk container, the author has chosen the containerization of coal research, as a trend in the development of coal industry in the future.This paper consists of six chapters:the first introduced the thesis research purpose, selected topic background, present situation at home and abroad and the research contents and methods of this article; Second chapter about the present situation of tianjin port coal transportation and container transport demand is analyzed, coal demand present situation, has analyzed our country transportation present situation and the present situation of tianjin port coal terminal, on the basis of the background of the two, find out the suitable for container transport of coal varieties, target market, and the analysis of the box, find out the accurate coal container for point; The third chapter USES SWOT analysis method the coal product container, the paper analyses the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, through the analysis of the affecting factors on coal containerization transportation, it is concluded that the necessity of container transport of coal; Chapter iv as a key section of this article, first of all, the design scheme of tianjin port bulk coal container transport, after the application of generalized cost analysis, from the Angle of transportation cost of bulk coal container transport scheme is evaluated, which coal is suitable for container shipping line key conclusions; Chapter v bulk coal container transportation scheme of the implementation of the proposed several countermeasures, from the loading and unloading process, change people’s traditional consciousness, management and operation personnel training these four aspects, proposed the corresponding implementation strategy; The sixth chapter of this article results and limitations are summarized.Through the study of this article thinks, in the choice to coal way of container transport, port should combine its own characteristics, at the same time consider airline market, international freight, ship transport price and government subsidies, the idea of people consciousness, and many other factors, to truly realize the coal container transport, reduce the cost of coal after container, in order to improve the competitiveness of the coal in the transportation market.
