With the rapid development of machining technology and computer technology, computer-aided manufacturing and processing systems are increasingly important for CNC machining processes. But few professional machining auxiliary systems are applied in the aero engine manufacturing industry, especially the integration of CAD/CAM/CAE software. Aero engine typical parts have the characteristics of complex structure, easy deformation, high material intensity, difficult processing, etc. Therefore, in order to provide the cutting process information for enterprises, to improve enterprise CAD/CAM/CAE application level, and to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, research and develop professional, intelligent and efficient engines typical parts machining system has important significance.Based on the machining characteristics of typical parts, combined with the classification model of the design and manufacture for engine, typical parts machining feature hierarchies for aero engine are established. The developed feature system is level clear, reasonable structure, easy expanded.Cutting parameters are crucial factors in processing, this thesis analyzes the impact of feature structures, machine parameters, tool parameters and tool life on cutting, by mathematical description of cutting parameter optimization. By using the linear weighting method, a multi-objective optimization model is proposed and the genetic algorithms to optimize cutting parameters are applied.On the basis of user requirements analysis, through conceptual model and logical model design, the typical parts machining database system for aero engine is established. The database contains seventeen library files such as machining feature database, part materials database, processing conditions database, tools information database and tool machining data database, etc.Cutting database system can achieve organization and management of engine machining features, to query tool and process information, cutting data maintenance, system permissions maintenance and other functions.On the basis of comprehensive analysis on the field of aero engine machining information and business demand, the applications of typical parts cutting database are developed by using UG re-development technology and database access technology. Typical parts processing system can enrich and improve the CAD/CAM/CAE systems, and meet user-specific needs. The system is operated on UG platform. It has good user interfaces, and is easy to operate. Through research and setting of UG built-in processing library, the typical parts machining database associated with the UG processing library, the machining system seamless integration with UG system is achieved. Tool and cutting parameters can be easily retrieved and automatically loaded in UG machining programming.
