As one of the world’s most widely used and important power mechines, The role oflow-voltage electrical motors play are becoming increasingly vital. So, it is more and moreimportant to ensure the low-voltage electrical motor running safely and reliablily. With therapid development of computer technology, Using smart chip technology and digital signalprocessing technology to achieve intelligent and versatile of motor protection is becomingthe main direction of further development. In this paper, a Electrical protective device oflow-voltage motor which using DSP2812as its core chips and setting data collection, faultdiagnosis, motor protection has been designed. By detecting the current and voltage signalsin the motor and using the method which combine threshold comparison method andsymmetrical component method to achieve the stall, reverse, phase failure, three-phasecurrent unbalance, thermal overload, ground sequence, long starting time, low-voltage,low-current, three-phase winding short circuit protection. Intermediate relay is used as theimplementation part of the output device to compete controlling the motor.The design of low-voltage motor protection and the commonly method of electricalfaults is ensured based on a large number of documents. A variety of fault diagnosis modeland appropriate software solutions are designed. In addition, the design of correspondingHMI and keyboard are completed, which make the device more friendly to the user.
