With the rapid development of economy, requirement of power supply reliability increases gradually. In this condition, new connection modes of distribution networks appear, such as multi-sectioned and multi-linked network. These new connection modes are called high power supply capability distribution network in this paper because the load rate can be more than50%. Compared with traditional networks, the service restoration for high power supply capability distribution network is more complex, because each feeder connects with multiple tie switches. Thus, research on service restoration method for high power supply capability distribution network was done in this paper. The main work is summarized as follows:The paper summarized various types of distribution network connection modes. And the structural features, reliability and economy of these networks were analyzed. Some reasonable suggestions for distribution network reconstruction and planning were proposed at last.For the objective of load balancing, the load balancing expectation was proposed. Under ideal conditions, load rate of each tie feeder will be equal after service restoration, and the equal load rate is the load balancing expectation.The bidirectional search method based on load balancing expectation was proposed on the basis of load balancing expectation. The method, which is on the premise of least interrupted load and takes the load balancing expectation as the search objective, can realize the service restoration for high power supply capability distribution network quickly and accurately. Besides, this method has the advantages of single objective comparison and clear search direction. Then, a high power supply capability distribution network model was built in RTDS to verify the service restoration method.The influence of multiple faults was studied and summarized in this paper, and a service restoration method for multiple faults was proposed, which can eliminate the influence. Then, each fault can be realized service restoration by using traditional service restoration algorithm independently.According to the science and technology project of state grid corporation that the key technology research and development on improving the ability of fault processing for distribution network, the software of the service restoration method proposed in this paper was realized on the data server of Shandong Kehui Power Automation Co., LTD. This software can obtain service restoration scheme for high power supply capability distribution network quickly and accurately.Finally, the research contents were summarized, and future research directions were also prospected..
