Lactic acid bacteria were isolated and identified from the silage of Inner Mongolia Hohhot small dam pasture and milk cooperative farm by conventional bacteriological methods.10strains of Pediococcus were successfully screened from silage samples of different sources, including2strains of P. pentosaceus and8strains of P. acidilactici.By the temperature growth test, the test of producing acid, acid resistance, bile salt tolerance, three stains were respectively chose from8strains of Lactobacillus plantarum,7strains of Enterococci, which was preserved in microbal lab, and10strains of Pediococcus, which were L. plantarum48-2, E. faecalis44-1and P. acidilactici P-1.3stains of the lactic bacteria can be growed at25-37℃, pH4.0-5.0,4%-6%NaCl, and used the carbohydrate of the silage, and had good bacteriostatic effect to E. coli.3stains of the lactic bacteria were studied as silage inoculants. Results of the same raw materials and different combination of lactic acid bacteria showed that:Either the experimental group or the control group, both the viable count of the lactic acid bacteria and the silage temperature reached the highest value on the third day in silage. During ensiling, adding three strains of lactic acid bacteria, the viable count of the lactic acid bacteria was superior to adding two kinds of lactic acid bacteria and control group (P<0.05), pH values was lower than that of adding two kinds of lactic acid bacteria and control group (P<0.05). According to the silage evaluation, it showed that3kinds of lactic acid bacteria as silage inoculants had improving effect on silage.By the study of compound silage inoculant consisting of3lactic acid bacteria to the silage effect of the silage materials from different sources, the results showed that:The viable count of the experimental group was significantly superior to the control group (P<0.05). pH values was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05). Both the experimental group or the control group, the viable count of lactic acid bacteria and pH values were not significantly different. The results showed that compound silage inoculant consisting of3lactic acid bacteria had no different on the silage effect of different silage materials, but it had improving effect on silage quality of different silage materials.
