The aim of this study was to discuss the toxicated mechanism of ocytropis glabra. Soxhlet extraction extracted swainsonine (SW) and quinolizidine alkaloids from Oxytropis glabra, and gas chromatography identified the purity of the SW. SW, quinolone alkaloids and the mixture of these two types of alkaloids attacked drug on mice. By the observation of clinical symptoms, the examination of immune organ viscera indexes and blood routine indexes including red blood cells, white blood cells, granulocytes, lymphocytes, hemoglobin, the observation of histopathology, the function of lymphopoiesis, the expression rate of CD4+and CD8+in T lymphocytes subgroup, the determination of CD4+/CD8+ratio and serum alpha-mannosidase activity, the relative expression quantity of a-mannosidase gane in liver and the overall merit of toxicated mechanism of ocytropis glabra, the results were as follows:(1) SW and quinolizidine alkaloids were extracted from oxytropis glabra by soxhlet extraction, and the SW crystallization which contained96.25%SW after gas chromatography and could be used in experiments was1.47g.(2) Mice were drenched different doses of SW, quinolizidine alkaloids and their mixed alkaloids. Low-dose SW could improve the number of red blood cells, white blood cells, granulocytes and lymphocytes and the content of hemoglobin in mice peripheral blood. High-dose SW and quinolizidine alkaloids could significantly reduce these cells number. Histopathological examination revealed that mice liver, spleen, brain, kidney had pathological changes in different level in each alkaloids group.(3) Low-dose SW could improve the proliferation of T lymphocytes and CD4+/CD8+ratio in animal body, but middle-dose and high-dose SW could seriously reduce the proliferation of T lymphocytes and CD4+/CD8+ratio. Low-dose quinolizidine alkaloids almost had no effect on he proliferation of T lymphocytes and CD4+/CD8+ratio, but middle-dose and high-dose quinolizidine alkaloids also could eriously reduce the proliferation of T lymphocytes and CD4+/CD8+ratio.(4) Low-dose SW could significantly increase alpha-mannosidase activity in mice serum, but high-dose would significantly reduce its activity. While quinolizidine alkaloids had no effect on alpha-mannosidase activity.(5) Low-dose SW also could improve the relative expression quantity of α-mannosidase gane in mice liver, but high-dose SW would significantly reduce its relative expression quantity. While quinolizidine alkaloids had no effect on the relative expression quantity of a-mannosidase in mice liver.
