Jiangsu is a rice-growing province and its rice cultivation area is above33million in2010,recently the rice cultivation area of transplanting develops well,the area of transplanting get to13.78million, it makes up48percent of the whole province.In the same time the chemical control technology together with the rice variety develops and the direct seeding technology has a high speed and its rice cultivation area is to10million until2010.More and more experts come and join the discussion about which one is a future major planting pattern and it is a valuable problem to study.This paper based on the differences in growth areas between the transplanting and the direct seeding technology..research the correlation between every factor and output as well as cost and give a main impact factor in the end.There is a great difference in every aspects between transplanting and the direct seeding technology, so the testing program divided into two parts. One is the data of rice growth, mainly including the growth stage, field management, pest control, and fertilizer use. The other is the data of cost including fertilizer, pesticide, the transplant seedlings, seeds, machine, water, artificial and other expenses. The data mainly collected from three planting modes, the direct seeding on dry field, the direct seeding on wet field and transplanting. Each planting mode select10fields as experimental fields, collecting50groups data of the rice growth in the whole process. The total data is150groups, using SAS software to do the correlation analysis.The way to get the high yield between transplanting and direct seeding is different from the results.The direct-seeding rice has a high product by the seeding rate but transplanting by the number of tillers,the transplanting has25kg/mu above the direct seeding its cost is160-180yuan/mu lower than the later.The transplanting total labor cost is less than the direct seeding.in the income aspects the transplanting has16.91yuan/mu lower than the direct seeding,in the correlation analysis of factors affecting production the main factors are seeding rate,planting density,ears but the transplanting are tillering dynamics and ears,in the cost analysis of the correlation between factors, the main factors affecting the cost in the direct seeding are pesticide, seed and labor but the main factors affecting the cost in the transplanting are seeding transplanting, machinery costs as well as labor.
