A Research On Design And Application Of Flower Border In Lingnan Region

Flower border is a kind of landscaping which is the scientific and artistic recombination for plants, based on the plant itself features, growth environment features and human demands, so as to make plant and human return to the ideal nature. As a kind of very young plant application form, flower border has the benefits of high ecological value, good landscape effect and easy maintenance, which just answers the very demands of building the ecotypic and economic landscape. For the past few years, flower border has also been frequently introduced into the Lingnan urban landscape building, represented by Guangzhou and Shenzhen.However, the application of flower border is still not so extensive in Lingnan area, it is still on the exploring start-up phase. In order to make flower border produce the best possible results in the application in this area landscaping, it’s necessary to give a comprehensive research on the application of flower border, systematically conclude and refine the design skills and application features in Lingnan area.The article is established on the natural situation and cultural environment of Lingnan area, with the combination of Lingnan landscape and the artistic characteristics of plants landscape, based on the existing related flower border research results, to explore the flower border design application skills in Lingnan area to provide some theoretical basis and practical evidences for flower border application promotion in Lingnan area. Main research results of the article are as below:(1) Basic theoretical research on flower border and flower border related design. By the integration of concept, characteristics, origin, development and domestic status and other related reference of flower border, combine the related basic theory of flower border design application to provide sufficient theoretical preparation of exploring the flower border design and application methods in Lingnan area.(2) A survey on application of flower border plants in Lingnan area. Survey on the general situation of Lingnan, plants landscape characteristics and representative urban flower border application. Statistics of the frequently-used flower border plant category in Lingnan area. Summary of the application form of Lingnan flower border plant and landscape design. Analysis and evaluation on the current situation of Lingnan flower border plant application and landscape design.(3) Discuss on Lingnan flower border design application. Combine the characteristics of Lingnan landscape and plants, propose flower border design principles, analyse and summarize Lingnan flower border landscape design methods, conclude and refine flower border landscaping and artistic conception expressing methods.(4) Take "Lan Xiang Yu Xiu" flower border landscape for example, analyses and demonstrates the process to organize and delivery the conception of Lingnan flower border landscape, testing the feasibility of Lingnan flower border landscape design methods.
