The tobacco stalks is a kind of nutrient-rich organic fertilizers, having a good using effect on farmland soil improvement and yield increase. In tobacco farming, the stalks are usually abandoned or burned after the tobacco leaves harvest. This traditional process mode leads to the waste of effective resources and environmental pollution. Therefore, Hubei Tabacoo Company established a tobacco stalks biological organic fertilizer plant in En shi in order to make full use of tobacco stalk resourses and improve the added value of tabacoo production. Since the pathogens remain in tobacoo stalks under natural conditions and the pathogens have potential pathogenicity, so whether the pathogens are to death or not during the process of organic fertilizer production has a direct bearing on the safety of the finished fertilizer application.This study did virus detection and potted toxic transmission experiments on the tobacco stalk bio-organic fertilizer productions with different fermentation process and time, intent to provide the basis of the tobacco stalk bio-organic fertilizers’security application in production.The main study are as follows:1、The virus detection of tobacco stalk’s raw materials:The results showed that TMV, CMV, PVX, PVY existed in the raw materials by doing virus dection on different batches of tobacco stalk’s materials.2、The virus detection of different disinfection methods:The results showed that the curing barn disinfection products were negative, drum disinfection products were positive, UV disinfection products were positive by using four kinds of virus antiserum to do the virus detection of different disinfection methods.3、The virus detection of different disinfection time:The products dealing with UV disinfection in different time showed positive to4kinds of virus antiserum, the products were sterilized below100℃at different level in different time were positive to4virus antiserum, the products were sterilized a a certain time with above100℃showed negative to4kinds of virus antiserum. The results indicated that the high tempreture treatment that above100℃can kill or inhibit virus activity.4、The potted toxic transmission experiments of finished fertilizer:The potted plants disposal of organic manure and compound fertilizer grew normally, appeared no typical virus disease symptoms, and did not detect TMV. The other potted treatments showed mosaic and bright pluse symptoms etc. of TMV, TMV and CMV are detected.Based on the results of virus detection and potted toxic transmission experiments on the tobacco stalk raw materials, intermediate products with different disinfection methods and time, as well as finished products, the study showed that the tobacco stalk bio-organic fertilizer produced by En shi tobacco company is safe in production application.
