Thinopyrum intermedium (2n=42) is a perennial cross-pollinated plant of Elytrigia, itshows immunity or highly resistance on wheat powdery mildew, rusts, yellow dwarf disease,root rot, gibberellic disease and so on. It immune to all Jordanons of stripe rust racescurrently. It provides useful genes for wheat breeding, is earliest to hybridize success withwheat in Elytrigia,is one of the main species in wheat distant hybridization. The studyidentifies6different chromosome combinations which are filial generation of wheat-YuanZhong2derived offspring by cytology, morphology and molecular markers method, aim tolay the foundation for further research and application of these materials.The results obtained are as follows:Combination NZ2W1morphological aspects: loose type plant is10, an tiller average of15, with an average height of111cm, average main spike spikelet is20, the average earlength is9.6cm, all have top Mans, blue-green leaves. morphological characters is Stable.Somatic chromosome number of2n=43. Chromosome configuratiuon at PMC MI are2n=21II+I.Itdoes not resistant to stripe rust. Specific bands Xwmc489and Xwmc331of Thinopyrumintermedium could be amplified in NZ2W1by SSR analysis. Fluorescence signal is notdetected by in situ hybridization.Combination NZ2W2morphological features: loose type plant is10, an tiller average of19, with an average height of118cm, average main spike spikelet is19, the average earlength is11.1cm,they are awnless variety, gray-green leaves. Somatic chromosome numberof2n=43. Chromosome configuratiuon at PMC MI are2n=21II+I,.It does not resistant to striperust.Specific bands of Thinopyrum intermedium Xcfd13could be amplified in NZ2W2bySSR analysis.
