Chilli pepper(Capsicum annuum L.)is the solanaceae of genus plant. It is a kind ofvegetable which has medicinal value. Because of the unique piquancy, chilli pepper flavoringagents can be used in many food. So it very popular in many countriest. At present,continuous cropping has become the main cultivation mode, lead to more serious continuouscropping obstacles. It greatly influence and obstruct the further development of chili peppermarket.Many studies suggested that root exudates is one of the main cause continuous croppingobstacles. In order to explore the mechanism of continuous cropping obstacles of chill pepper,the influence of6allelochemicals (DIBP, cedrol, propiolic acid,2,4-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-Phenol, dibenzofuran, fluorene. The last3materials were not used in hydroponics test.) onseed germination and hydroponics seedling growth of chill pepper (2species “Shanjiao2006”and “Xianjiao9”) were studied. The allelochemicals set six concentration (0.000mol/L,0.0005mol/L,0.001mol/L,0.002mol/L,0.005mol/L and0.01mol/L) on seedgermination. After10days calculated the germination rate, germination potential, germinationindex, and measured chill pepper seeds bud radicle length, germ length and fresh weight ofshoots. Hydroponics seedling also set six concentration. Allelochemicals added to the nutrientsolution, pH value control in the6.0to6.5. The cultivation of seedling were in three phases,the first phase (May5to May25), the second phase (May25to June15), the third phase(June15to July5). Measured indicators including height, stem diameter, chlorophyll content,root activity, the culture liquid conductivity, proline content and soluble sugar content, andsome protective enzyme activities. The specific test results are as follows:1. The germination indicators and the analysis of the membership function value showedthat the6kinds of allelochemicals on chill pepper seed germination overall law at lowconcentrations (0.0005mol/L,0.001mol/L) to promote slightly. The promotive role of cedrolis relatively obvious. When the the concentration was up to0.002mol/L, each treatment arebeginning to appear a slight inhibitory effect. When the concentration continues to rise (0.005mol/L,0.01mol/L), the inhibition becoming increasingly apparent. Through thecomprehensive judgment, the inhibitory effect of propiolic acid is the strongest. The inhibitory effect of DIBP,2,4-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-Phenol, dibenzofuran and fluorene ismedium. The inhibitory effect of cedrol is the smallest. The performance in "Shanjiao2006"and "line pepper9" is basically same.2. According to the test results of the seedling hydroponics indicators, role in thehydroponic test three kinds of allelochemicals (DIBP, cedrol and propiolic acid) seedlinggrowth of low concentration (0.001mol/L or less) slightly promotion, the promotive role ofcedrol is relatively obvious. When the the concentration up to0.002mol/L, each treatment arebeginning to appear a slight inhibitory effect. High concentration (0.005mol/L,0.01mol/L),3allelochemicals on seedling growth has significantly inhibited, propiolic acid inhibitoryeffect is most obvious, In the third stage, seedling of2high concentration treatments are alldeaths. The inhibitory effect of cedrol is the smallest, seedling growth conditions are best.Through the comprehensive judgment, the inhibitory effect of propiolic acid is the strongest.The inhibitory effect of DIBP is medium. The inhibitory effect of cedrol is the smallest. Theperformance in "Shanjiao2006" and "Xianjiao9" is basically same.
