The purpose of this study is to explore the technology and methods ofproducing the major dwarfing rootstock’s self-rooted rootstocks, by tissueculture, layering and cuttings as well as these process’s hormones screeningand stroma proportion. The study can lay the technical foundation for producingmass dwarfing rootstock’s self-rooted rootstocks rapidly, it has importantsignificance to advancing the dwarfing self-rooted rootstocks’developing andimproving the apple production level, too.According to the asexual propagation test of several apple dwarfingrootstock’s self-rooted rootstocks, we obtain the following main results:1. By the tissue culture test, whose medium is composed by different hormoneratio6-BA, NAA, and IBA, we screened out the medium which are conducive toproliferation and rooting of M26and M9. For proliferation culture, the bestproliferation medium components for M26and M9are MS+6-BA0.4mg/L+NAA0.027mg/L and MS+6-BA0.4mg/L+IBA0.3mg/L; For the rooting culture, we finallyselected the better rooting medium components for M26is1/2MS+IBA0.28mg/L+IAA0.8mg/L.2. Layering trial’s results showed that, the stroma can have an certainimpact on layering rooting, the different layering stroma has an differentlayering rooting role in different rootstocks: wood chips is a better layeringrooting matrix for M26and M9, while sawdust is better for JM7.3. Hydroponic cuttings trial is done with different rooting powder. Theresults found that semi-lignified branches were better than burgeons inhydroponic cuttings trial. All the four dwarfing rootstock with pharmaceuticaltreatment failed to procure their cuttings root, but they all had obvious whiteprotruding root primordium. For ‘Round Ringo’, Lure· Indole mixture promotedmore but shorter roots, however, ABT promoted less but longer roots.4. By hardwood cutting trial, whose cuttings deal with different rootingpowder in different stroma, the results found that in terms of the growth conditions for each rootstock cuttings’ pre-bud, all are expressed as, the bestgrowth conditions is that rootstock cuttings were soaked by the mixture of fulvicacid and indole butyric acid and inserted in the turfy stroma,but each treatmentdidn’t root.5. By softwood cutting trial, whose cuttings deal with different rootingpowder in different stroma, the results found that the rootstock M9cuttingsleaves appeared macular firstly and death then, who had the worst growth, havingthe worst keeping conditions。All the four rootstocks failed to root. How tocontrol the temperature and humidity under natural conditions is the key factorof softwood cuttings seccess or failure.
