It is well known that China is a large agricultural country. The agricultural requirementswill be increased with the development of society and the progress of science and technology. As the main harvesting tools of grains, the working performance of the harvesters willdirectly affect the efficiency of harvesting. The vibrating screen is the screening mechanismin the combine harvester, and the efficiency of screening will directly affect the workingperformance of the harvester. Due to the complex planar motion during its working, thevibrating screen will generate a great inertial force. Generally, since the inertial force is ofperiodic change, and the noise and vibration are relatively large, the fatigue life of parts tendto be reduced. And consequently, the working performance of the harvester will be impactedseriously. In this paper, the research on the vibrating screen originates from the cooperation projectbetween YunNei Power Co. Ltd and our school, aiming to conducting an optimal design forthe Japan Kubota combine harvester. Specifically we analysis and calculate the vibratingscreen of this type combine harvester based on the software of ADAMS and MATLAB.Firstly, we analysis the working and screening principle of the vibrating screen mechanism, and simulate and calculate the seven grain points on the surface of the screen. Then weanalysis and compare displacements, velocities and accelerations of these different points. And the corresponding effect under the amplitudes of the grains is also analyzed.Secondly, the inertial forces of each link and the resultant force are calculated with thehelp of MATLAB. The overlarge inertial force could bring some negative effects to thevibrating screen mechanism, such as decreasing the comfort of the harvester operator. Therefore, we should find ways to overcome it. Complete balancing could lead to a largeradditional weight and the size of the structure, resulting in an unaccepted cost. Therefore, thepartial balance technology is adopted in this paper in order to take into consideration thedistribution weight, the size of the components and the constructions.
