With the size of mechanical harvesting of cotton in Xinjiang area is increasing, thecompany continues to expand the scale of machine pick up cotton, cotton picker operationservice showed a large range of cross-regional operation mode, the traditional cotton pickerscheduling management model has been unable to meet the development needs of company.Vehicle monitoring technology, global positioning technology, wireless communication andcomputer technology becomes more mature, provide technical support for it to solvetrans-regional operation monitoring and dispatching function of cotton picker.In this paper, the platform of cotton picker monitoring and scheduling system consideredas the main line, describes in detail the overall design ideas and functional of cotton pickermonitoring and scheduling system, and put the emphasis on the study of cotton pickerscheduling algorithm.This paper studies on the existing vehicle scheduling algorithm, combined with cottonpicker trans-regional operations the actual scheduling needs and existing scheduling methodof Yin Li cotton picker company. Obtain the key factors of the impact for cross-operatingefficiency in cotton picker, such as cycling work skills, work partitions, transition time,mileage costs. According to the resource constraints, the first order constraint conditionscreate the cotton picker scheduling model. Designs a scheduling algorithm of cotton pickerbased on genetic algorithm, used on cotton machine monitoring and dispatching platform,according by the location and status information uploaded by the monitoring terminalcombined with the pending work orders to generate scheduling scheme, the program adjustedand confirmed by the dispatch center operator, scheduling result is transmitted through acommunication network to the response of the cotton picker terminal by the system, in orderto achieve rational management of the cotton picker.In this paper, the cotton picker monitoring and dispatching system was developed basedon the cotton picker scheduling model. The system consistsof cotton picker monitoring terminal, communication system, and monitoring anddispatching centers, Uses the built-in data acquisition chip, global positioning system (GPS)module and general packet radio service (GPRS) monitoring terminal module, according tothe GPS principle to complete the automatic positioning of cotton picker. The communicationunit on the monitoring terminal (GPRS) completes the acceptance of scheduling informationand the sends of vehicle state information; at the same time, a variety of devices ofmonitoring terminal and cotton picker interconnected to monitor cotton picker conditions andsecurity. Location information and status information transfer via GPRS data channel, thesoftware system of monitoring and dispatching center using geographic information systemand Google Map to review the control objectives in a visual map of remote sensing images,realizes cotton picker operating position and status monitoring path playback,emergency alarm and other functions.Application cotton picker monitoring and dispatching system is not only an effectivesolution to the cotton picker real-time monitoring of the cross-regional operations andscheduling problems, but also be able to adapt to a large area, multi-machine operation. Design of monitoring and dispatching system can effectively strengthen the cotton picketscheduling and management and enhance the operating efficiency of the cotton picker verifiedby agricultural management of Yin Li cotton picker company.
