Digging machine is one of the important equipments during the afforestation process, Its use greatly reduced the employee’s working strength and improve the work efficiency.At present,suspended type,protable type and man-pack type is the most popular type of the digging machine in our country,and all of the cutterhead is screw type.These machines have their advantages and weakness.Such as suspended type digging machine,its power come from tractor,the lifting mechanism is three point type and it has a brief structure with a High-Power.But its cutterhead is too big and heavy,and difficult to change.During the afforestation,it will produce lateral stress.Because of these weakness,the project designed a new digging machine with high efficiency and lowcost.Replace the scrwe cutterhead with plane type cutterhead is its most important characteristic,which greatly reduce the occupy of space.The design of the primary parts,statics analysis and virtual prototyping simulation of the new machine have finished.In order to enhance the whole performance and reduce the costing for more,this paper will do a optimization design with the chassis frame which based on the finite element theory.Chassis frame is a important load part for digging machine,its performance directly affect the whole performance. This paper will do dynamic performance optimization design and size optimization design for the initial model with the overall consideration of the dynamic characteristic and economy.First of all,calculating the dynamic load and parametric modeling will be finished,which can detemine the parameters and boundary conditions. Secondly,in order to get the influence rate of sizes to natural frequency,sensitivity analysis of the frame is done.this paper will do size optimization design for the chassis frame reference to the results of sensitivity analysis.finally,this paper will do size optimization design with the rest of size parameters.thus far,the result of all the sizes are getted.
