To investigate the selenium nutrition characteristics, rich cultivation theory of potatoesand provide a basis theoretical for the reasonable application of selenium fertilizer. Byanalyzing the data derived from pot experiment, field experiment and the indoor experiment,the theory on potatoes’ selenium uptake, transformation and qualities regular pattern wasstudied.The results showed:1.During the growth stages. the selenium content in different organs of all studied were:The content of selenium in roots was the highest and that in leaves is the lowest at earliergrowth stage. At later growth stage, the content of Se in leaves was the highest and that inroots is the lowest.The selenium content gradually reduced in potatoes during the period oflife. Selenium fertilizers increased the selenium content in different organs of potatoes, butdid not change the trend of the selenium content in potatoes during the period of life.2. Pot experiment and field experiments showed that, Selenium could significantlyincreased the total selenium and organic selenium content of mature potatoes tubers; Theselenium contents and transformation of potatoes would increase first and then decrease withthe increasing of selenium processing concentration.Field experiment showed that Comparedwith CK, When applied in proper amounts(37.9mg/m~2), all three selenium fertilizersincreased organic Se transformation rate by3.00%~15.10%; Pot experiment showed thatCompared with CK, When applied in proper amounts(1.5mg/kg), all three selenium fertilizersincreased organic Se transformation rate by3.22%~27.76%.3.The yield and protein of potatoes were promoted at proper Se concentration, while it wasinhibited at higher Se concentration, it would reduce Yield and quality of Potatoes. Fieldexperiments show that Yield, crude protein, the reducing sugar and Vc of potatoes initiallyincreased and then decreased as soil selenium concentrations increased. these three kinds ofselenium fertilizers decreased starch contents of potatoes at the low selenium concentration(12.6mg/m~2), then it could not influence starch contents of potatoes. Compared with CK,When applied in proper amounts(37.9mg/m~2), all three selenium fertilizers increased yieldby4.87%~5.44%, tuber crude protein by12.18%~20.03%, the reducing sugar by6.45%~12.90%, vitamin C by-0.54%~3.11%, organic Se transformation rate by3.00%~15.10%and starch content by-0.73%~1.12%of potatoes. Pot experiment show that the yield increased first and then decreased with the increasing of selenium processingconcentration.4. Pot experiment showed that biological carbon selenium fertilizer and selenium fertilizer ofWater absorbent and slow-release have significant superiority in yield and See content ofpotatoes. The application rate of Se should be controlled at about3.0mg/kg. Field experimentshowed that Compared with sodium selenite selenium fertilizer, Biological carbon seleniumfertilizer; selenium fertilizer of Water absorbent and slow-release promoted the potato yield,increased the qualities, had the superiority in the selenium supply of potato growthperiod.Considering selenium contents, the yield and qualities of potatoes, The effects of Wtreatments was best then B treatments, and S treatments was the worst.
