| Celery (Apium graveolens L.) belongs to the Umbelliferae Apium. Its seed is small double-hangingfruit with the leather outer shell and containing volatile oil. Its poor permeability, slow germination anduntidy seedling emergency affect the crop yield and production. Generally speaking,plant growthregulators are important active ingredient in the coating agent. The celery varieties “优文图斯†from theinstitute of Tianjin kernel vegetable research is used to study the plant growth regulator GA3,6-BA,NAA, SA, BR, CTS in celery seed coating technology applications, and analyze its impact on celeryseed germination rate, germination index, vigor index, and related indicators of effectiveness, the resultsshowed that:When the base seed germination rate is higher, the different concentrations of six plant growthregulators had no impact on celery seed germination rate. Optimal regulator concentration significantlyimpacted celery seeds germination vigor, germination index and vigor index. The optimal concentrationof single plant growth regulator was6-BA250mg/L,NAA100mg/L,SA800mg/L,CTS2000mg/L,BR8mg/L,GA3200mg/L, where the treatment with6-BA250mg/L, NAA100mg/L, SA800mg/L and CTS2000mg/L can increase more than70%germination vigor.The composite treatments of6-BA250mg/L, NAA100mg/L, CTS2000mg/L in coated celeryseed did not affect seed germination rate, but can promote celery seed germination vigor, germinationindex, vigor index. The celery seed germination vigor, germination index, vigor index is the maximumwhen treat with6-BA250mg/L+CTS2000mg/L. Where germination vigor was85.0%, compared withnon-coated seed treatments increased25.7percentage points and compared with the basic Seed Packetclothing treatment increased by18percentage points. The highest germination index was95.6,compared with non-coated seed treatment increased by19.6%over the basic Seed Packet clothingtreatment increased by14.8percent. Vigor index was the highest87.95, than non-coated seed treatmentincreased by59.5%over the basic Seed Packet clothing treatment increased47.2%.The composite and single component treatment can not only enhance the effect but also existantagonistic, the different crop seed need to carefully select the type and concentration when they docomposite treatment.In a word, the preferred concentration of six single plant growth regulators and their compoundsimproved germination vigor, germination index, vigor index of celery pelleted seed in or afterdormancy period,although the germination rate was not changed among different treatments whenbasic germination rate was higher. General speaking, consequently faster, and uniformemergence, strong growth and subsequent high yield could be expected while seed vitality is high. Thecombination of6-BA250mg/L+the CTS2000mg/L was the best treatment combination forcoating “优文图斯â€celery seed through comprehensive analysis and evaluation and could be used forcoating agent in practice. |
