A Research Of Cotton Agronomic And Economic Traits After Spraying Flumetralin

【Objective】Through the study of cotton agronomic and economic traits under different topping(Chemicaltopping,Manual topping,Non-decapitation)in northern Xinjiang to provide the theory basis for thespreading of chemical topping.Cotton physiological characteristics was explored from cotton leaves turninginto red under Chemical topping, which has important theoretical and practical significance to realize theproduction topping mechanization.【Methods】Combined plot experiments with field trials to carry out the study. Chemical topping,Manualtopping and Non-decapitation were setted on Xinluzao33,Xinluzao45and Xinluzao46in plotexperiments.Measuring cotton agronomic traits and yield changes to analyze the effect on cotton height andyield of Chemical topping and the effects on cotton leaves reddening changes in the physiologicalcharacteristics of premature aging under different topping ways.Chemical topping and Manual toppingwere setted on Xinluzao45and cotton8514in field trials, Measuring cotton agronomic traits and yieldchanges under two topping ways to analyze the effect on cotton height and yield of Chemical topping.【Results】Plot experiments showed that Non-decapitation had the tallest plant height,6.2%higher thanChemical topping,8.5%higher than Manual topping; main stem and fruiting branches of Chemical toppingwere significantly higher than Manual topping,but the fruiting branches’ length of Chemical topping wereshorter than Manual topping,so Chemical topping prompted a more compact plant type.Both plotexperiments and field trials showed that bolls of the upper fruiting branches and the inner circles ofChemical topping were higher than Manual topping.The weight of single boll was significantly differentbetween Chemical topping and Manual topping,but there was no significant difference on the yield of seedcotton and lint cotton under3topping ways. Different topping affected the quality of cotton while doingnothing on boll space distribution.Combined with Chemical topping,Manual topping brought forward thetime of leaves reddening.【Conclusion】Fluorine can effectively control cotton’top growth and could cotton plants more compactplant type.
