Through the study of cotton agronomic and qualitative character under different chemical top ping(dinitroaniline and flumetralin different ratio)in south Xinjiang to provide the theory bas is for the spreading of chemical topping.Cotton physiological characteristics was explored ho w to control nutrient growth and stimulate cotton into the breeding stage under Chemical topp ing, which has important theoretical and practical significance to realize the production toppin g mechanization and health production of cotton in south Xinjiang. In this paper, combined pl ot experiments with field trials carried out the study.Chemical topping(pendimethalin, triflur alin, butralin and flumetralin in combination),Manual topping and Non-decapitation were sett ed on Xinluzhong49 in plot experiments.Measuring cotton agronomic traits and yield change s to analyze the effect on cotton height and yield and the effects on cotton resistance index cha nges in the physiological characteristics of premature aging under different topping ways.Me asuring cotton quality and yield changes under different formula of chemical topping to analy ze the effect on cotton height and yield of Chemical topping. The main results are as follows:(1)In the treatment of the mixing of pendimethalin and flumetralin, the ratio of pendimet halin was higher, the effect of the control was better and the inhibition effect was more effecti-ve.In this trials,30.8%pendimethalin·flumetralin(3:1)EC 100 times liquid control top was best(10 dafter the drug control top rate could reach 3.03%,at the sixtieth day the controltopratecould reach 6.64%).30.6%pendimethalinflumetralin(4:1)EC was the best toIncreas e the yield of cotton,Compared with Manual topping treatment, the yield reached 6642 kg/hm~2and increased by 2.18%,the single boll weight was up 0.79%,the ginning outturn was up 12.61%and the length of the fiber was no significant difference.(2)In the treatment of the mixing of trifluralin and flumetralin,34.5%trifluralin·flumetr alin(3:1)EC 100 times liquid control top was best(10 dafter the drug control top rate could r each 3.31%,at the sixtieth day the control top rate could reach 6.09%)in this trials.39%trifluralin·flumetralin(1:1)EC was the best to increase the yield of cotton,Compared withManual topping treatment, the yield reached 6575 kg/hm~2 and increased by 1.15%,the ginni ng outturn was up 3.62%and the single boll weight was up 0.71%.(3)In the treatment of the mixing of butralin and flumetralin,39%butralin·flumetralin(1:1)EC 100 times liquid control top was best(10 d after the drug control top rate could reac h 2.72%,at the sixtieth day the control top rate could reach 6.83%)in this trials.34.5%butr alin·flumetralin(3:1)EC was the best to increase the yield of cotton,Compared with Manual topping treatment, the yield reached 6588 kg/hm~2 and increased by 1.35%,the ginning outtur n was up 7.76%and the single boll weight was up 0.71%.(4)By measuring cotton main physiological indexes showed that chemical topping treatm ent slowed down SOD activity decline rate in the late cotton growth. The cotton leaves guaran teed antioxidant capacity and slowed down premature aging, the cotton boll opening late prod uced positive effect. In this study,30.6%pendimethalin·flumetralin(4:1)EC 100 times liquid treatment sho-Wed topping persistent and yield-increase effect.30.6%pendimethalin·flumetralin was pre-pared using pendimethalin and flumetralin as active ingredient, dimethyl formamide as main solvent. The recipe was optimized by screening the adjuvants including emulsifier and stabiliz er.The final formula was flumetralin(24%),pendimethalin(6.6%),9 per cent emulsifier(cal cium dodecyl benzen sulfonate and 1601 equal proportion),and a 10 per cent cosolvent dimet hyl formamide, and a solvent xylene 50.4%.
