A field experiment was conducted to study effects of film uncovering time onsoil moisture movement, yield and quality of potato under plastic film andridge-furrow cropping patterns, using "Xin DaPing" as test materials. And theexperiment consisted of5blocks,60days uncovering film after sowing (T1),75daysuncovering film after sowing(T2),90days uncovering film after sowing(T3),105days uncovering film after sowing(T4), and the whole growth period withoutuncovering film(T5),to provide the scientific basis for high-yield cultivationtechniques of potato. The main results are as follows:Key words: dry-land farming potatoes; film-uncovering time; completely mulchedwith ridge planting; soil moisture movement; yield, quality of tuber1. It can help the plant height, stem diameter, crown width, vertical root, relativegrowth rate and tuber dry matter content of potato to increase yield significantly bydifferent uncovering time. The increase rate ranged from4%to28%,and the sametime, it can improve yield components of potato. Both the number of bigger tuber andsum of bigger tuber rates increased, the green tuber rate and belt tuber rate decreasedsignificantly. The treatment of T2was the best, it can benefit to increase the yield andyield components of potato.2. The ground temperature was significantly improved under different uncoveringtime, it was benefit to obtain rain to increase the water content of soil, increased theactivity of urease, phosphatase and sucrose, but decreased the activity of catalase. Italso increased the content of available nitrogen, available phosphorus and availablepotassium by promoting the soil organic matter to break down, the potato growthenvironment was improved, the yield and quality of potato tuber was improvedsignificantly, and T2was the best treatment.3. The correlation of different uncovering time on soil available nitrogen, phosphorus,potassium, organic matter and soil enzyme activity analysis showed that catalase,nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and organic matter were negatively correlated, but significant level (P<0.01), but the soil available potassium level was not high.4. It can significantly increase the content of soluble sugar, soluble protein, total free amino acid, VC and starch, and the organic acid content was decreased. The treatment of T2was benefit to improve the quality of potato tuber.
