In recent years, the development of the corn harvest machinery in our country israpid with species diversity. Chain rake grain conveying devices are widely used in thecorn united harvest machines. They are reliable with stable performance, but theirstructures are complicated. Screw conveying devices have the advantages of simplestructures; they are also applied in corn united harvest machines, but since they use thehelical blade space to transport corns, the structures are huge, and are difficult toconfigure in small corn united harvest machines. It is necessary to develop a newconveying device. The helical blades of the new maize ears helical blade frictionconveying devices are lower, so the grains in the course of transmission are on the topof the blades all the time. Thus, the conveyer structure sizes can be not so big, and thereare less grain injuries in the conveying process.By using self-made conveying device of maize ears, the test discussed the laws ofeffects on maize ears conveying performance caused by the new-type transmissionauger’s blade height, guide side panel’s inclining angle, guide side panel position angle,auger lift-and-convey angle and the rotational speed of auger. Performances of maizeears conveying devices mainly displays in three aspects: the damage degree of maizeears, the quantity of shattering and transport capacity. In the paper, first, according to theaverage length, diameter and differences of moisture content, maize ears can be dividedinto four states. The first state is chosen in the test. Maize ears of the first state aredifferent from the ones of state two, three, four respectively in diameter, length,moisture content. The state classification is used to study the adaptability of theconveyor as the single characteristic of the material changes. It helps to compare the testresults more directly and clearly. Analysis of variance is used in the test to calculate thetest results.The test verifies that the maize ears conveying device is adapted to many causes,including different maize ears sizes and moisture content. With a blade height of20mm, a auger rotational speed of300r/min, side panel position angle of70°and side panelinclination angle of75°, the novel conveying device can convey maize ears better andeffectively avoid the injury by traditional helical conveying devices.
