Food is an important factor related to economic development and social stability, as animportant means of subsistence and strategic materials, the requirements of improving theability that control the temperature and humidity of granary are increasing. Compared withtraditional wired communication methods, utilizing wireless communication methodssignificantly avoid the high wining construction cost, high maintenance costs and reduce thedifficulty to expand the system. Therefore, this paper proposes a granary temperature andhumidity control system based on ZigBee, a wireless communications method, and improvesthe hardware and software system of the traditional granary monitoring system.The system consists of coordinator that located in the control room, network nodes andventilating driver module located in each storehouse. Temperature and humidity data collectedby sensors are sent to the ZigBee wireless network by network nodes, and received by thecoordinator, then sent to the control computer through the serial port. Meanwhile, thecommand of adjusting temperature and humidity is sent by the control computer to a networknode in the same way, and then executed by the ventilating driver module. The function ofmonitoring granary temperature and humidity is executed by the hardware that utilizesDHT11, a complex digital temperature and humidity sensor, and CC2530chip. Utilizing theCC2530chip and51mcu, the system control the ventilation drive module with limit switches.At the same time, the system utilizes ZigBee stack to achieve the communication between thecontrol computer and the storehouses.
