Periploca sepium Bge is a wound shrubs which belong to Periploca Asclepiadaceae. Ithas some features such as hilight, shade-tolerant, cold, drought, salinity, et,al. It has astrong ability to adaptability to the soil. It is excellent and sand, soil and waterconservation species. Now, the breeding technology and and its impact on soil water andnutrient of Periploca sepium Bge is relatively scarce so that can not provide the date onreproductive, protective characteristics and ecological benefits. This research has carriedon the systematic study of the breeding technology of Periploca sepium Bge and summedup the most appropriate and widely promoted breeding methods. Meanwhile, in order tofind out its effect in highway slope protection, detailed analysis its impact on soil waterand nutrient of Periploca sepium Bge. The Results are as follows:(1) The highest survival rate is ramets which up to100%. but this is a limitednumber of breeding, not suitable for large population. Both of seedlings’ root and growthrate are faster than cutting propagation. but in the early sowing, it is so strict on soilthickness and soil moisture requirements that the highest survival rate is only60%. The CKtreatment of August open cuttings which survival rate can reach80%and is suited to massproduction. Summing up all the conditions, the most suitable multiply method is:acquisition semi-woody shoots which is year-old, cut into about20cm, then put them intowater, after4hours put out and start to cuttage.(2) In this research, we can find that Periploca sepium Bge plays a importan role insoil moisture and soil nutrient of highway bydetermination of the highway soil moisture, nutrient. The soil moisture Significantly increased which with Periploca sepium Bge, withthis clarification Periploca sepium Bge can self-control water. Beyond that, It alwaysmakes some differences to soil nutrient, especially on soil total nitrogen. This show that theroot of Periploca sepium Bge has a good ecological nitrogen fixation.
