Atrial was performed to study the effects of different dietary protein levels on growthand production performance, breeding performance and so on in four different growthperiod of Huainan partridge chickens breeder, and then to study the appropriate level ofdietary protein, which supply scientific theoretical basis for make an appropriate diet forHuainan partridge chickens breeder.Experiment1: Effects of Crude Protein Level on growth Performance ofHuainan Partridge Chicken Breeder during the Brood Incubation PeriodA trial was performed to study the effects of dietary protein levels on growthperformance, body measurement and reproductive organs index of Huainan partridgechickens breeder during the brood incubation period. A total of1350health2-week-oldHuainan partridge chickens breeders with an average body weight were randomly allocatedto3treatments. The experiment was pulled out in four stages through the age of2-6,7-11and12-18weeks and the crude protein (CP) level was16.0%,18.0%,20.0%and13.5%,15.0%,16.5%and13.0%,14.0%,15.0%, respectively. The results showed thatchickens fed by20.0%CP diet had significantly greater average weight than that of18.0%CP and16.0%group at the end of six week(P<0.05). Shank length of20.0%and18.0%CP groups was significantly high than that of16.0%CP group during the weeks of3to5. Secondary sexual characteristics of each group had no significant difference, butwattle height of14.0%CP group was significantly greater than that of13.0%CP group(P<0.05)at the age of15weeks and comb length and thickness of15.0%CP group wassignificantly greater than that of13.0%CP group (P<0.05)at the age of16weeks.reproductive organs index had no significantly difference among three treatments (P>0.05).In conclusion, when the dietary metabolic energy(ME) was11.96MJ/kg, the appropriateCP level for Huainan partridge chickens of2to6weeks of age was20.0%and when thedietary ME was11.73MJ/kg, the appropriate CP level for7to11weeks of age was15.0%and when the dietary ME was11.69MJ/kg, the appropriate CP level for12to18weeks ofage was14.0%.Experiment2: Effects of Crude Protein Level on growth Performance ofHuainan Partridge Chicken Breeder during the Sexual Mature PeriodA trial was performed to study the effects of dietary protein levels on the age and weight at first egg of Huainan partridge chickens breeder during the sexual mature period.600health Huainan partridge chickens breeders of19weeks of age with an average bodyweight1.21kg were randomly allocated to3treatments. The crude protein (CP) level was14.0%,15.0%and16.0%, respectively. The results showed that all treatments had nosignificant effects on the age of first egg and body weight, but the weight of first egg of15.0%CP groups was significantly high than that of16.0%CP group(P<0.05). Inconclusion, when the dietary metabolic energy was11.55MJ/kg, the appropriate CP levelfor Huainan partridge chickens of19to23weeks of age was15.0%.Experiment3: Effects of Crude Protein Level on Performance of HuainanPartridge Chicken Breeder during the Middle Laying PeriodA trial was performed to study the effects of dietary protein levels on productionperformance, egg quality, breeding performance, serum parameter and body measurementindex of Huainan partridge chickens breeder during the middle laying period (24to40weeks of age).600health Huainan partridge chickens breeders with an average bodyweight1.45kg and average laying rate of60%were randomly allocated to3treatments.The crude protein (CP) level was15.0%,16.0%and17.0%, respectively. The resultsshowed that chickens fed by16.0%CP diet had significantly greater average laying rateand lower FCR (feed intake/egg mass ratio) than that of15.0%CP group (P<0.05). Yolkcolor of15.0%CP and17.0%CP groups was significantly high than that of16.0%CP group, and Yolk proportion of17.0%CP group was significantly high than that of15.0%CP group.Secondary sexual characteristics and body measurements of each group had no significantdifference, but shank length of16.0%CP group was significantly high than that of the othergroups, comb length of17.0%CP group was significantly greater than that of16.0%CPgroup, and wattle height of17.0%CP group was significantly lower than that of15.0%CPgroup (P<0.05). Reproductive performance and serum parameter had no significantlydifference among three treatments (P>0.05). In conclusion, when the dietary metabolicenergy was11.68MJ/kg, the appropriate CP level for Huainan partridge chickens of24to40weeks of age was16.0%.Experiment4: Effects of Crude Protein Level on Laying Performance ofHuainan Partridge Chicken during the Later PeriodA trial was performed to study the effects of dietary protein levels on productionperformance, egg quality, breeding performance of Huainan Partridge chicken during thelater period (45to51weeks).600health Huainan partridge chicken with an average body weight1.62kg and average laying rate of50.0%were randomly allocated to3treatments,each treatment had5replicates with40birds per replicate. The crude protein (CP) level oftreatment1, treatment2and treatment3were12.9%,13.9%and14.9%, respectively.Other nutrient levels of3treatment diets except the crude protein level were the same. Theresults showed that no significant difference was found among3treaments on productionperformance, egg quality and breeding performance of Huainan partridge chicken. Inconclusion, when the dietary metabolic energy was11.69MJ/kg, the appropriate CP levelfor Huainan partridge chicken from45to51weeks was12.9%.
