Objective: This study was to investigate the impact of dietary herbal preparations and singleplant basil flavor on quail laying performance and yolk cholesterol content.Method: Test selected240quails of age on40-45days with the same batch of varieties, goodbody condition, laying rate close, numbered according to random table, were randomly dividedinto4Groups, respectively A, B, C, D Groups, Group A: basal diet added Chinese herbalmedicine0.5%; Group B: basal diet added Chinese herbal medicine1%,; Group C: basal dietadded single plant basil1%; Group D: control Group, basal diet. During the day take naturallight16h, day and night with red lighting, take appropriate insulation measures evening, sealedthe basic diet and additive after fully mixed, stored at room temperature, feeding dry powder on7am and10pm, ad libitum, pick up eggs at5pm, The daily record in the shed, humidity, temperature of egg phase (egg shape and color, whether there is blood, meat spot, statisticalblood, meat spot quail health status and food intake. Statistical egg number, egg weight, numberof deformity egg, calculate the egg laying rate, the average egg weight, egg ratio of deformity(daily/weekly); Determination of cholesterol in eggs by Parathion Tiefa, monitoring changes inthe content of different additives after feeding.Conclusion:1, The laying rate results show that: the test at Day7, Group A, B, C the laying rate, egg yolk cholesterol content as compared with Group D, the difference was not significant(p>0.05); test at Day14, A, B, C the laying rate, egg yolk cholesterol content as compared withD Group, the difference was not significant (p>0.05); test at Day28, Group A, B, C egg layingrate higher than that in Group D (p<0.01). Compared with A, B, C between the three groups hadno significant difference.2, the content of egg yolk cholesterol changes showed: fourteenth eggyolk cholesterol content test period, A, B, C Groups compared with the D Group had nosignificant difference; the test period of twenty-eighth days, Group B egg yolk cholesterolcontent was significantly lower than that in Group D (p<0.01), the other groups were notsignificant, egg yolk ratio results show that the percentage of yolk Group B decreasedsignificantly, while Group A yolk ratio declined slightly, while the other experimental groupsbasically unchanged, the added Chinese herbal medicine herbal egg can reduce the cholesterolcontent of eggs on a certain extent.3, egg weight dispersion results show: Group B<Group A<Group C<Group D; ratio of abnormal eggs and flesh eggs decreased significantly after addherbal egg and basil. Thus, Group A and Group B were added Chinese herbal medicine herbal egg, egg laying performance of quail has been greatly increased, the ratio of deformity, blood, meat, eggs also to a certain extent decreased, after adding1%herbal eggs, the content of eggyolk cholesterol ratio and egg yolk decreased significantly. Add a single plant Basil improve thelaying rate to a certain extent, reduce the abnormal egg content, but the decrease in the content ofcholesterol without obvious effect.
