The research is mainly to meet the Catalpabungei C.A.Mey wood utilization as the goal,use37clones in shandong province and10clones introducted from henan province asmaterials, by means of seedling stage selection and area test, according to the increment, thecharacter index, physiological index, environmental adaptability, wood material, use a singlecharacter assessment and more traits of comprehensive selection method, foster high-qualityand high-efficiency clones. The main results were as follows:Each clone evaluation index mainly includes the growth index, character index,physiological index and wood physical and mechanical properties. Growth indicatorsincluding diameter at breast height, tree height, volume, and several years of growth, Formquality indicators including morphological description, branching Angle, branch number,under branch height and taper; Physiological indicators, including net photosynthetic rate,intercellular CO2concentration and chlorophyll content; Wood wood physical andmechanical properties including hardness, compressive strength and bending strength. UseExcel2007the early stages of the software to complete the data input and initial consolidation,as well as draw table; With DPS7.05and SPSS10.0data analysis software to carry on theaverage, variance, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, multiple comparison andcorrelation analysis, principal component analysis and cluster analysis approach; Finally,calculation of each clone scores and ranked in order of height.Through comprehensive analysis on several characters:37Catalpabungei C.A.Meyclones in the province, the clone2,5,7,8,38,39comprehensive score value is higher, abetter comprehensive performance, henan introduction of clone1out of10CatalpabungeiC.A.Mey clones,5,6,7comprehensive score value is higher, has a better comprehensiveperformance. Through genetic clustering analysis to the clone population can be divided intoseven groups, and through the phenotypic clustering analysis can be a group can be dividedinto six groups. The clone is not completely in accordance with the provenance distributiontogether, only a few clones according to provenance distribution together, probably because ofenvironmental has different effects on the clonal growth, some clones of differentprovenances were gathered together, indicates the same Catalpabungei C.A.Mey differentclones have growth, character and physiological traits variation tendency.
