Author used Melastoma sanguineum as material by studying the effects of different light quality, plant growth regulators and substrates on seed germination, cuttage, hydroponics and tissue culture, hoping to shorten the breeding cycle of Melastoma sanguineum and improve the reproductive efficiency. The main results were as follows:1.The optimum condition for seed germination of Melastoma sanguineum was to pretreat the seeds with GA350mg·L-1and6-BA5mg·L-1, and then use red light (637nm-642nm) during germination. Both red and green light contributed to seed germination and shoot elongation growth, but red light could also enhance germinative force, making the sprouting process more rapid and efficient.6-BA had a significant effect on germinative force and germination percentage, and the best concentration was5-10mg·L-1.2.Results of different substrates, plant growth regulators and light quality showed that: the optimum condition for cuttage was to soak cutting slips in NAA5mg·L-1at first, then use yellow soil:sand=1:2as substrate, and use blue:red=2:1to shine the cutting slips during rooting. Substrate had a significant effect on the average length of Melastoma sanguineum’s roots, and had a highly significant effect on the rooting rate, the best volume ratio was yellow soil:sand=1:2. Plant growth regularors and light quality had a significant effect on the rooting rate, the best concentration of NAA was5mg·L-1and the best light quality was blue:red=2:1.3.Results of different light quality, frequency of hydroponic liquid replacement and the concentration of NAA on hydroponics showed that: the best condition for roots growth was to add NAA1.0mg·L-1in hydropinic liquid, replace the liquid every7days, and use blue: red=2:1during rooting process. The frequency of hydroponic liquid replacement had a significant effect on the average root number and rooting rate, replacing the liquide every14days was the best to raise average root number, while every7days was the best to raise rooting rate. Light quality only had a significant effect on average root number, The best light was blue:red=2:1. NAA had a highly significant effect on average root number, and had a significant effect on rooting rate, the best concentraion was1.0mg·L-1.4.The optimum condition for induction culture of tissue culture plantlet of Melastoma sanguineum was to add6-BA0.6mg·L-1and NAA0.1mg·L-1in the culture medium and use blue:red=1:2. Light quality had a highly significant effect on the shoot elongation growth of tissue culture plantlet during induction culture. The best light quality was blue:red=1:2.0.3mg’L’1or0.6mg·L-16-BA had a highly significant effect on the inductivity, NAA had a significant effect on the inducitivity, the best concentration was0.1mg·L-1 5.The optimum condition for enrichment culture of Melastoma sanguineum was to add6-BA0.1mg·L-1and NAA0.5mg·L-1in the culture medium and use blue:red=2:1to shine. Light quality had a significant effect on the shoot elongation growth during enrichment culture, the best treatment to boost the growth of shoots was blue:red=1:2.0.1mg·L-16-BA had a highly significant effect on proliferation rate.0.5mg·L-1NAA had a significant effect on the increase of planting percent. Light quality had a significant effect on both the proliferation rate and planting percentage, the best light was blue:red=2:1.6.The optimum condition for root induction culture of Melastoma sanguineum was to add IAA0.1mg·L-1or IAA0.5mg·L-1in combination with NAA0.6mg·L-1in the culture medium and use blue:red=1:2. None of the light quality and plant growth regulator could increase the average root number. NAA had a significant effect on the increase of rooting rate. Both0.1mg·L-1IAA and0.5mg·L-1AA were good.7.The optimum condition for transplant Melastoma sanguineum was to harden off the seedlings for6days, then use soil:turf=3:1and use blue:red=1:2to shine after transplanting. the duration of harden off tissue culture plantlet had a significant effect on the height growth and survival, and6d was the best time to harden off. During the time of of harden off tissue culture plantlet, light quality had a significant effect on the height growth and the amount of new shoots, the best light was blue:red=1:2. Ratio of substrate had a significant effect on the height growth and survival, and soil:turf=3:1was the best.
