Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasonogr-aphy(EUS) in the1135cases of uplift lesions in the upper digestive tract and itssurrounding adjacent organ lesions. Methods: Endoscopic ultrasonography is refers to endoscopy which havingminiature ultrasonic probes (MUP) on the headend. This method which belong tointerventional technique can avoid the Ultrasound interference from intestinal fat, airand bones,by inserting the fiber endoscope into gastrointestinal for examinationmucous membrane from inner to outer. In Dalian Central Hospital, during January2007to November2009,there are1135cases of upper gastrointestinal uplift lesionswhich were examined by endoscopic ultrasonography, among them there were467men and668women,which age were from19between81.Its examination methodswas similar to the routine endoscopy. To obtain the ideal ultrasound images needingwater injection in the upper gastrointestinal tract, and sometimes to change thepatient’s position for the lesions to dip into the water, to reduce the interference ofgas. EUS used in this article from Japan PantaxEG3830UT, probe frequency of5~10MHz, ultrasound diagnostic equipment for the Japanese HITACHI EUB-5500.Results: Analysis the786cases of upper digestive tract wall uplift lesions byendoscopic ultrasound and found that: stromal tumors in172patients including5cases distributed in the esophagus,160cases distributed in the stomach,7casesdistributed in the proximal duodenum; leiomyoma in206cases, of which166caseswere distributed in esophageal leiomyoma,22cases distributed in the gastricleiomyoma and there were18cases distributed in the duodenal leiomyoma; therewere85cases of polypus,10case was distributed in the esophagea,62cases ofdistribution in the stomach, and13was distributed in the duodenal leiomyoma; therewere74cases of lipoma,14case was distributed in the esophagus,50cases of distribution in the stomachand,10distributed in the proximal duodenum; cyst in122cases, including57cases of gastric cyst, esophageal cyst in35cases,30cases ofproximal duodenum; ectopic pancreas127cases,121cases of distribution in thestomach, and6distributed in the proximal duodenum; There were56cases ofmalignant tumors,16cases of distribution in the eophagus and40cases in thestomach; lesions of oppressor from outside digestive tract wall in99cases,including27cases of esophagus compression,26cases of aorta compression, and one casesof vertebrae pressure; stomach bulge under external pressure were found72cases,25cases of gallbladder pressure,18cases of hepatic cyst,17cases of pancreas pressure,10cases of spleen pressure, and twocases of neurovascular pressure;lesions of organsnear the digestive tract in99cases,including two cases of esophagus granulationtissues,22cases of small cell lung cancer,25cases of pancreatic cancer,7cases ofampullary carcinoma,5cases of pancreatic cyst,5cases of adrenal adenoma on the left, and among them there were3cases of pheochromocytoma and the other two wasadenoma. There was no abnormal in the other128cases.Conclusion:Endoscopic ultrasonography could clearly show the intra-level ofthe tract structure, and clearly uplift lesions in the origin of intra-level, and accordingto its origin level, the initial size and echo characteristics of specific lesions.Inaddition,it showed the digestive organs and organizations close to the situation.,whichbe value for diagnosis and the treatment for uplift lesions of upper digestive tract.
