Herbal Textual Research,Experience Identification And Mix Discrimination Of Nine Common Traditional Chinese Medicine

In the work we choose Huo Maren, Qiong Mazi, Ya Mazi, Zhi Ma, Xiao Huma and Bi Ma as the study object, for all of their name have "Ma" and belong to the same sort of fruit and seed herb. In the work we also choose Bi Xie, Ba Qi and Tu Fuling as the study object, for they have similar characters and efficacy of roots and rhizomes herb. Not only are they used in the clinic, but also homonym exists in ancient herbal medicine. In the modern times customary medication name is still confusion in different regions and this Phenomenon is worsing, such as confusion in doctor’s prescription, prescribtion and pharmacy. So this work has some practical significance. Different literature has different research on the origin of Huo Maren, Ya Mazi,Zhi and Zhi Ma; Bi Xie, Ba Qi and Tu Fuling. Based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicines established by Xie Zhongwan, through the mainstream of Materia Medica, ancient and modern gazetteers, by the methods of herbal textual research, systematic comparison of ancient and modern literature, identification and plant specimens, herb specimens, discuss their origin and character. The main Materia Medica literature in the course of the study are Shen Nong’s Herba, Wu Pu Bencao, Mingyi Bielu, Annotated Shen Nong’s Herbal, Newly Revised Canon of Materia Medica, Classics of Materia Medica, Classified Materia Medica, Collected Essentials of Species of Materia Medica, Compendium of Materia Medica, Bencao Jingshu, Cao Chong raw, Bencao secret record, Bencao Congxin and Truth-seeking herbal Foundation.The fundamental reason for the confusion of the commonly used traditional Chinese medicine is the same name or similar name, and these medicines have the similar efficacy in clinical, even substitutes for one another in the doctor’s prescription. Strictly speaking, these nine Chinese herbal medicines are belong to different varieties of medicines. In order to ensure safe and reasonable use of these medicines, we suggest these nine Chinese herbal medicines should be used according to its own characteristics in clinical and circulation of Chinese herbal medicines. Tracing the source of homonym is that different origins of medicines own the same or similar efficacy be used in different regions called the same name. For the reason of homonym causes confusion of varieties, so the main factor of confusion of varieties is homonym. So we should according to their inherent efficacy and name to apply, that is unified the name of the drug.Meanwhile, on the basis of my tutor under the teaching of Xie Zhongwan, summarize the characters of these nine easily confused common used medicines.
