Objective: Research of psychological condition and factors of Uyghur and Hanaged-patients with permanent pacemaker implantation. Methods: A total of128uyghurand Han aged-patients with a cardiac pacemaker implanted were enrolled into this study.The questionnaires and sales were asked to be filled before the operation an6months afteroperation. Including Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS).Results: There were significant difference of SAS, SDS scores between preoperation andpostoperation. The grades of depression, anxiety and symptoms in patients postoperationwas lower than preoperation. The SAS SDS scores of postoperative patients werecorrelated with their economic condition, mode of cardiac pacemaker and postoperativecomplications. Conclusion: Compare with preoperation, average mental health level ofaged-patients with cardiac pacemaker got better, life quality improved significantly. Theirpsychological condition were correlated with their economic condition, mode of cardiacpacemaker and postoperative complications. So during the regular follow up periodpsychological supports and therapies should be done to the implantation of pacemaker inaged-patients.
