Objective: The pharmacognosy research on15kinds of RanunculaceaAconitum L. medicinal plants produced in Yunnan is having important significancefor clarifying the medication confusion of Aconitum herbs in Yunnan,makingcorrect guidance of clinical medication,safeguard the people’s health,and it alsoprovides identification information for Aconitum herbs at the same time. Method:This subject mainly used the researches of source identification,characteridentification and microscopic identification(mother roots and its sub-root crosscutslice from three different section and powder features),observing the characteristicunder the microscope, shooting photomicrograph for root cross-section of YunnanAconitum medicinal plants,and drawing its schematic diagram of organizationalstructure. Combined with characteristics,powder features and pollen grainsmorphological characteristics of the scanning electron microscope,it has initiallyestablished a database of Yunnan Aconitum medicinal plants. With BulleyaconitineA as the reference substance, use the TLC identification to examine whether theAconitum herbs containing Bulleyaconitine A.Use microscopic quantitativetechniques and statistic methods to count the total number of starch grains ofvarious Aconitum herbs and the thickness of stone cells wall in the speciescontaining stone cells,then see whether there are significant differences betweendifferent species.Result:With colligating its characters and microstructuralcharacteristics,it has initially established a interspecific retrieval table of theAconitum plants.We can see that all kinds of Yunnan Aconitum plants containsBulleyaconitine A(except A.stapfianum) by comparing the TLC identification,butthe specific content of it need further admeasurement.In the statistical comparisonanalysis of the starch grains in long diameter and short meter,the total number of unit area and the thickness of stone cells wall,shows P<0.01, it prooves thatinterspecific microscopic characteristic constants have significant difference.So thelong diameter and short diameter of the starch grains, the total number of unit areaand the thickness of stone cells wall can be used as a indicator of distinguishingAconitum medicinal plants in species. Conclusions: Through the pharmacognosyidentification of Yunnan Aconitum medicinal plants,this project provides a scientificbasis for clarifing the medication confusion of Aconitum herbs,correct using andevaluating the quality of medicine, guidance of clinical medication andsafeguarding the people’s health.
