Laryngeal carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor of larynx,in which squamous cell carcinoma was the dominant.Operation is the majortreatment way and its prognosis is significantly assosiated with surgicalmargins.on clinical, the negetive margins is which confirmed by histologicalexamination to be tumour-free one. However people with pathologiclynegative margins still have a certain local recurrence rate.Research showsthat before the cell get morphologically different, there has been somemolecular or biochemical metabolism changes.Nowadays there are manyresearchers detect some protein expression by immunohistochemicalmethod to evaluate its relationship with the occurrence and development oflaryngeal carcinoma. In this paper, a comprehensive review is given on theassosiation of protein change detecting by immunohistochemical with thesafe surgical margin、 recurrence and metastasis status of Laryngealcarcinoma.
