Objective:This research utilizes the methods of syndrome differentiation from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) combined with psychological scale from Western medicine, to analyze the psychological status of GERD patients and discuss the relationship between TCM syndrome of GERD patients and psychological characteristics such as depression and anxiety. The objective of our research was to understand the important role of emotional factors in the progression of GERD and provide the basis for emotional nurse in the treatment of GERD.Methods:According to the study inclusion criteria, and removing the exclusion criteria and falling standards, we collected130GERD patients, and then carried on the questionnaire survey to them, including general data, syndrome observation table, gastroscope questionnaire, self-rating depression scale (SDS, SAS). The collected data was used to establish a database for statistical analysis.Results:1、In the four kinds of common syndrome types, the group of qiyutanzu accounted for30.8%as40patients, the group of ganweiyure accounted for41.5%as54patients, the group of zhongxuqini accounted for22.3%as29patients, the group of yuxuezuluo accounted for5.4%as7patients. Visibly, GERD patients of the group of ganweiyure were at most, the group of qiyutanzu secondly.2、GERD patients with abnormal psychological accounted for the number of cases of46.9%, and their SDS/SAS integral was significantly higher than the national norm, both P=0.000;However,NERD patients compared with RE patients in the SAS integral with a significant difference, P<0.05, SDS score between the two groups was not statistically significant, P>0.05.3、The incidence rate of depression and anxiety had no significant difference in the four common syndrome types of GERD, P>0.05; The group of qiyutanzu, the group of ganweiyure and the group of zhongxuqini, the group of yuxuezuluo, comparing whose SDS,SAS integral, the first2syndrome types were higher than the last2syndrome types, there were significant differences, P<0.05; There was no significant difference between the group of qiyutanzu and the group of ganweiyure,also as the group of zhongxuqini and the group of yuxuezuluo, P>0.05, so anxiety and depression tendency of the group of qiyutanzu and the group of ganweiyure was more obvious. Conclusion:GERD patients had a high incidence rate of anxiety or depression disease, and compared with the ordinary people had significantly more anxiety and depression tendency. The emotional effects of GERD to patients from the group of qiyutanzu and the group of ganweiyure was particularly evident. Depression and anxiety are the main manifestations of the emotional effects in this disease.
