| Objective: Through the study of general practitioner training inHengyang city, understand the training status, find out existing problems, toprovide advices for health administrative department and generalpractitioner training base, and to provide scientific reference and trainingpolicy in future general practitioner training work.Subject: Study on basic situation of354general practitioner fromHengyang12counties，and to do questionnaire to174general practitioneron the training effect, knowledge skills, current demand.A personal interview study for one director of community healthservice institution and two directors of township and village health servicesabout support the general practitioner training or not, training for improvethe service level of the service institution or not, the opinions and advicesof the training, etc. A personal interview study for six general practitionersabout work change before and after the training, welfare benefits, theopinions and advices of the training, etc. A personal interview study for three doctors not involved in general practitioner training about willingnessto participate in training or not, the colleagues have a improvement or notafter training, etc. A personal interview study for three patients aboutinfrastructure, medical technology level and service attitude, etc.Methods: Questionnaire investigation method: The research adopt themethod of cluster sampling, and the process is query the literature andconsult experts, design of the questionnaire, pre-investigation, complete thequestionnaire content, investigate. This survey distributes150questionnaires, recovering138questionnaires, recovery rate is92.0%.Data collection method: Collected three periods of training students’basic information from training base, students come from Hengyang189grassroots medical and health service agencies, covering12counties.Personal interview method: Personal interview adopt non probabilitysampling method. According to the interview outline for respondents to askquestions, and recording the process, then transcribed into a worddocument.Literature analysis method: Collect relevant data of other countriesand regions, through analysis data to learn from its good experience.Results: Overall, general practitioner training achieved satisfactoryresults, students know well basic theory knowledge, basic skills.Theoretical level and service skills are up to a new level, the overall qualityhas a certain degree of ascension. However, general practitioner training still exist the followingproblems:(1)Students’ academic and professional titles are yet to be improved.(2)Male to female ratio is not uniform, appropriate to increase thenumber of female general practitioners.(3)Training content is lack of pertinence, lack of thinking in generalmedicine.(4)Not form a quality monitoring system, training evaluation is notstandard.(5)The teacher development of quantity and quality can’t keep up withthe training work.(6)To strengthen the construction of teaching training base andcommunities of practice base.Suggestions: Governments at all levels should attach importance tothe general practitioner training：strengthen related policy-making, throughthe policy to support the development of general practitioner trainingservice；increasing financial input, through material to ensure generalpractitioner training carried out smoothly; establish industry associationorganization at all levels, industry association should play the leadershiprole of organizational; code first option referral system, clear generalpractitioner professional positioning.Diversified forms of training to promote general practitioner training: higher medical colleges and universities training as the leading factor; aftergraduation education as the core; job training for the key; continueeducation as a supplementImprove the quality of training about selecting training students,cultivating the teachers troop, perfect the course content and trainingmaterials,improving evaluation criteria,strict training management, etc. |
