| AIM: To investigate the change of C3G protein expression in theperi-infarct myocardium in rats.Methods:The SD rats were randomly divide into two groups experimentalmyocardial infarction (MI) groups and sham-operation (sham) groups byLitwin method. The rats in the MI and sham groups were sacrificed at24hand12weeks after the operation respectively and the myocardium werecollected: getting the myocardium in the apex (infarct myocardium werecontained in the MI groups),we use the technology of Picric acid-sirius redstaining and immunohistochemistry to test the CVFâ… ã€â…¢ and C3G proteinexpression; The expression of C3G protein in non-infarcted myocardium inthe MI group and in the cardiacbase myocardium in the sham group wasmeasured by Western blotting respectively.Results: The result of Picric acid-sirius red staining is the CVFâ… ã€â…¢ inPost-MI12-week group is14.01±2.73ã€4.80±0.64, which is increased mostamong the post-M I24h group (3.68±0.95ã€1.53±0.61), Post-sham24h-group(3.15±0.70ã€1.42±0.48) and Post-sham12-week group(3.27±0.65ã€1.47±0.52),(p<0.05),however, there is no any difference in thelatter three groups(all p>0.05). The immunohistochemistry detect that theC3G protein expression in the post-MI12weeks group is significantly 0increased than the other three groups(p<0.05),but the latter three groups haveno difference(all p>0.05). C3G protein expression in the non-infarctmyocardium in the post-MI12weeks group(0.56±0.06,n=8)wassignificantly higher as compared with that in the apex-myocardium in the inthe Post-sham24h-group (0.22±0.04,n=8),in the non-infarct myocardium inthe post-MI24h-group (0.29±0.02,n=8)and Post-sham12-week group (0.22±0.04,n=8) respectively (All P <0.05).Conclusions: C3G protein exists in the myocardium in rats. And In theperi-infarct myocardium, the expression of C3G protein is increasedsignificantly. The increased C3G protein expression could be involved in thepostinfarction cardiac remodeling. |
