Objective:To investigate the change of Sos (Son of Sevenless)1/2proteinexpression in non-infarcted myocardium in rats. Methods:Experimentalmyocardial infarction (MI) and sham-operation (sham) models in SD ratswere established respectively. Sos1/2protein expression in non-infarctedmyocardium in the MI group and in myocardium in the sham group wasmeasured by Western blot respectively. Results:Sos1/2protein expressionin the non-infarcted myocardium in the MI group(0.40±0.13, n=8)at12weeks after infarction was significantly higher as compared with that in themyocardium in the sham group (0.24±0.08, n=8)at12weeks afteroperation, in the non-infarcted myocardium in the MI group (0.25±0.10,n=8)at24h after infarction and in the myocardium in the sham group(0.26±0.11, n=8) at24h after operation respectively (All P<0.05).Conclusion: There exists Sos1/2protein expression in themyocardium in rats. Sos1/2protein expression is significantly increased inthe non-infarcted myocardium after infarction. The increased Sos1/2protein expression could be involved in the post-infarction left ventricularremodeling. |
