Tephroseris kirilowii (Goushecao in Chinese), which belongs to thecompositae family, is traditionally prepared from the whole herb of it. It hasbeen used for heat-clearing and detoxifying and it exhibits stronganti-leukemic activity. Compounds were isolated and purified repeatedly bysilica gel, Sephadex LH-20and preparative HPLC, and their chemicalstructures were elucidated by the physicochemical properties and spectralanalysis. The compounds were identified as2’,4’,6’-tribenzyl-2-senecioicacid (2), tyrosol(3), rhododendrol(4). Among them, compounds1,2,3,4are isolated from Tephroseris kirilowii for the first time, compound2isestimate isolated from plants for the first time.Radix Aucklandiae (Muxiang in Chinese), which belongs to thecompositae family, is traditionally prepared from the dried radix andrhizomes of it. It has been used for the pain of digestive system, as a drug ofregulate the flow of vital energy and remove obstruction toit improves digestion. Properties identification and powders microscopic identificationwere used to identify the batch of Radix Aucklandiae, the results wereconsistent with Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2010Edition).The optimalextraction of polysaccharides and total alkaloids in Aucklandia lappa wereestablished. Quality inspection for Aucklandia lappa is inspected, includingthe moisture content determination, determination of extracting substances, total ash content determination, acid insoluble ash content determination, heavy metal ions determination, which found total ash content wasconsistent with Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2010Edition)and the otherswere consistent with Green standards of medicinal plants and preparationsfor foreign trade and economy.
