Objective:This study was designed under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation theory, combined with laboratory parameters to observe and investigated the differences between the two treatment methods(Yang-deficiency syndrome, warming Yang-discharging dampness, increasing Qi-discharging dampness) of chronic renal failure. Discussed the relationship between Yang-deficiency syndrome and thyroid hormone changes, and summarized the clinical features of chronic renal failure. Methods:Sixty patients with chornic renal insufficiency of Yang-deficiency syndrome are randomly divided into two groups(group A and group B), each group containe thirty cases. Patients in group A are treated with the therapy of warming Yang-discharging dampness while group B with the therapy of increasing Q-discharging dampness. Both of the group are observed for two therapeutic courses, which last for six weeks. Priority observed parameters include the changes of clinical symptoms and signs, renal function, thyroid hormone, minor observed parameters are hemoglobin ect.Result:(1) The treatments of group A and B are equally effective in TCM syndromes treatment percentage (93.33%). Group A appeares better than group B in total treatment effective rate, but the gap is close. Group A has better efficacy in adjusting thyroxine and some TCM syndromes.(2)In totally60patients with Yang-deficiency syndrome,53ones are in the low level of thyroxine,4of them are hypothyroidism and16of them are subclinical hypothyroidism. After the treatments, with the restoration of thyroxine, the Yang-deficiency syndrome has been alleviated. There is no significant differences between group A and group B in adjusting SCr, but group A is better in reducing BUN than group B, which the gap is meaningful in statistics(P<0.05).(4)Comparing the hemoglobin before and after the treatment, there is no significant divergence in statistics.(5) During the whole two therapeutic courses, no adverse events occurred in both two treatment methods.Conclusions:(1) Both two of the treatment methods are efficacious.(2)The treatment of group A is better than group B in adjusting thyroxine and curing some TCM syndromes.(3) Thyroxine can be adjusted by traditional Chinese medicine, and has connection with Yang-deficiency syndrome。...
