Abstract/Summary:
Purpose: Play the advantages and characteristics of TCM therapies, byobserving the influence of acupuncture combined with traditional Chinesemedicine (TCM) in obese patients who have type2diabetes (damp-heat trappingSpleen) with insulin resistance and in the state of inflammatory, and makeexploratory study to affirm the clinical efficacy of cupuncture combined withChinese medicine treatment for treating obese type2diabetes with insulinresistance and micro-inflammatory state.Method: All cases came from the outpatient department and patientshospitalized in Endocrinology Dept of the Affiliated Hospital of ChangchunUniversity of Traditional Chinese Medicine, selecting50cases consistent with thediagnosis and the inclusion criteria who were randomly divided into experimentalgroup and control group, and each group had25cases. The experimental groupreceived acupuncture and oral traditional Chinese medicine, the control group wasgiven metformin hydrochloride tablets for oral take,4weeks for1courses oftreatment, results were observed after2courses. Pay attention for patients’general state, body signs, biochemical examination results, and the clinicalefficacy before and after the treatment, recorded and statistically analysed.Result: After2courses of clinical observation, found that the experimentalgroup and the control group have significantly improvement than before in thebody mass index, waist circumference, blood sugar, blood lipid, glycosylatedhemoglobin, fasting plasma insulin, insulin resistance index, inflammatory factorindexes (P <0.01, P <0.05), and there is no significant difference between thegroups (P>0.05), the experimental group have significantly improvement in theaspect of TCM symptoms (P <0.01, P <0.05), and adverse events in the twogroups are not happened, the total clinical efficacy rate of experimental group is84.0%, the control group is80.0%, and finally confirmed that the therapy ofChinese medicine combining acupuncture in clinical has a prominent position. Conclusion: The treatment of acupuncture combined with Chinese herbstreating obese type2diabetes has exact clinical curative effect. It cansignificantly reduce the level of blood sugar, blood lipid, insulin resistance index,index of inflammation factors, and it can improve body’s insulin resistance andmicro inflammation state; Chinese medicine therapy can significantly improveclinical symptoms in patients with diabetes; and it doesn’t have obvous adversereactions.
