Objective: To accumulate data for further study of the genus Coniogramme, thespecies and distribution of this genus in china was studied by consulting plantspecimens and references. The chemical constituent of Coniogramme intemedia Hironhas been studied. Methods: Consulting specimens and field investigation were adopted. Seperationtechniques such as, silica gel, RP-18, SephadexLH-20, HPLC,were used to seperate andpurify compounds of C. intemedia Hiron. The structure of compounds were identifiedby chemical and spectroscopic methods. Results: According to the study of herbarium investigated, there are39species ofgenus Coniogramme in China, including21species in Yunnan,14in Sichuan,7inChongqing,12in Guizhou,6in Tibet,7in Shanxi,7in Hubei,4in Anhui,3in Jiangsu,3in Gansu,5in Jiangxi,5in Guangxi,6in Guangdong,13in Hunan,1in Fujian,2inZhejiang,1in Liaoning,6in Henan,1in Hebei,1in Heilongjiang, and1inTaiwan.Twenty compounds were isolated and identified as Indole-3-carboxylic acid(Ch-1), Epitarxerol (Ch-2), Epifriedelanol (Ch-3), Dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol(Ch-4),3-O-Acetyloleanolic (Ch-5), Lariviresinol (Ch-6), Naringenin (Ch-7),Pinoresinol (Ch-8),4-cycloart-23-ene-3β,25-diol (Ch-9), Pterolactone A (Ch-10),Onitisin (Ch-11), Stigmast-4-ene-3,6-diol (Ch-12),4′-O-methyldihydroquercetin(Ch-13),13,28-epoxy-23-hydroxy-11-oleanene-3-one (Ch-14), Hopenone-I (Ch-15),Nortrachelogenin (Ch-16), Matairesinol (Ch-17),13,28-epoxy-3β,23-dihydroxy-11-oleanene (Ch-18), methyl linoleate (Ch-19), trilinolein (Ch-20);Conclusion: The species of the genus Coniogramme is rich. Some of them havebroadly medicinal prospects in China.18compounds are seperated from this plant for the first time from C. intemedia.
