A Clinical Analysis Of Comparing6-cores、10-cores And12-cores Prostate Biopsy: Impaction On Cancer Detection

Objective: To compare6-cores、and12-cores prostate biopsy fordetermining the impact on the prostate cancer detectionrate， andformulate the right mode according to different circumstances.Methods: A retrospectively analyze278cases of initialdiagnosis of patients with prostate cancer from January2009toDecember2013, who were treated with6-cores、10-cores and12-coresprostate biopsy, in which126patients received6-cores biopsy,102patients who underwent10-cores biopsy and50patients received12stitches biopsy. All patients was between49and87years old, mean71years; PSA level was between0.1~106.1ng/ml, mean40.9ng/ml; prostate volume was between12.5~162.7ml, average60.2ml;according to biopsy results, comparative study of6-cores,10-coresand12-cores prostate bopsy positive rate. Application of statisticalmethods for statistical analysis of the three puncture programs inpatient age、PSA、prostate volume、number of puncture、puncturesite and digital rectal examination, etc,and the statistical differencesbetween the positive rate of the puncture site.Results: The positive rate of3methods was42.9%(54/126)、58.8%（60/102）、62.0%(31/50).Compared with6-cores,10-cores and12-cores were so overall positive rate increased15.9%and19.1%,12-cores overall positive rate increased by3.2%compared with 10-cores.10-cores acupuncture compared with6-cores, at age<70years of age, prostate volume≥40ml, PSA <40ng/ml, DRE-negativepatients, the positive rate difference is more significant, andcompared with10-cores, just when prostate volume≥90ml, thepositive rate of12-cores only significantly different. Total puncturestitch are768, positive rate is59.3%. There is no significantdifference between three methods in postoperative complications.Conclusions: With the increase of the number of needle,wefound a higher positive rate of prostate cancer. Select the puncturescheme should be flexible according to the specific circumstances ofthe patient, the choice of10-cores biopsy is more appropriate targetage <70years, PSA levels<40ng/ml,40ml≤prostate volume <90ml patients，DRE negative patients, the choice of6-cores biopsy ismore appropriate target age≥70years, PSA levels≥40ng/ml,prostate volume<40ml，DRE agressive patients,and12-cores biopsyshould choose the law of prostate volume≥90ml patients punctureobjects. With the increase of the number of needle, it won’t bring asignificant increase in complications.
