The Clinical Observations On The Efficacy Of Quyidi Capsule In Treating Dpn And Its Influence On Serum No, Et

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the Quyidi capsule in treating patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) and the influence of serum nitrogen monoxide and endothelin,and to discuss the possible mechanism in treating DPN and improving traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome.Methods:The seventy-two patients with DPN were randomly divided into two groups:the control group (n=36),who used oral Mecobalamin Tablets500ug once,3times one day;the treatment group (n=36),who used the Quyidi capsule5granules once,twice one day.The two groups under the same foundation treatment used the medicines lasting for continuous12weeks.Observing the change of TCM syndrome integral, sural sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV),determination of common peroneal motor nerve conduction velocity (MCV),fasting plasma glucose (FPG),2h postprandial plasma glucose (2h PPG),hemoglobin Alc (HbA1c) and blood lipids(TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C),serum nitrogen monoxide(NO), endothelin(ET),between the two groups.Results:The scores of TCM syndrome of the treatment, group were better than those of the control group (P<0.05).The improvement of the treatment group in sural SCV and common peroneal MCV were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).The improvement of the treatment group in FPG,2hPPG,HbA1c,TC,TG and LDL-C were better than those of the control group (P<0.05).The improvement of the treatment group in the level of serum NO and ET were better than those of the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion:The Quyidi capsule can effectively improve the TCM syndrome of patients with DPN in the deficiency of Qi and Yin, blood stasisand phlegm obstruction. The Quyidi capsule can enhance sural SCV and common peroneal MCV of the patients with DPN.The Quyidi capsule can reduce the level of FPG,2hPPG,HbA1c,TC,TG and LDL-C of the patients with DPN.The Quyidi capsule can regulate the level of NO, ET,and improve endothelial function,which may be one of the mechanism of the treatment of DPN.
