Objective:To evaluate the possible relationship between DNMT1gene polymorphisms and passive smoking with cervical cancer in Han population of China. Methods:In the case-control study, DNMT1genotypes were determined by PCR and gene sequencing method in100patients with cervical cancer and100healthy controls. We analyzied the relationship between different genotypes, passive smoking conditions and the risk of cervical cancer.Results:1. The frequency of C allele of DNMT1rs16999593in cervical cancer patients was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05); the risk of cervical cancer carry the mutant allele C (TC+CC)of rs16999593individuals at increased1.985times (OR=1.985, P<0.05).2. The risk of cervical cancerin women who had passive smoking had increased2.705times(OR=2.705, P<0.05).Conclusions:1. DNMT1gene polymorphism increased cervical cancer susceptibility.2. Passive smoking increased individuals suffering from cervical cancer risk.
